Halloween

Way, way back in 1987, 15 year old me began dating a boy who was the first person to ever tell me that they loved me. My parents had never hugged me, nor had they ever expressed any kind of love for me. That muted existence made me emotionless.

I love Halloween and yes, that fondness occasionally makes me take a trip down memory lane.

Tom would love that I still think about that first Halloween with him, but I know that he would not want me sad, so I always do my best to keep smiling. Our story went number one, a couple of years ago, on Amazon! And the fact that it was on Halloween, gives me great joy.
