Parents who vanish

It’s sometimes the parent who refuses

to change, to own their mistakes,

to fight for what matters.

It’s not always the child walking

away.

Sometimes the hardest truth

is one that a child never wants to say

out loud, parents can choose

to let their kids go.

Utter silence.

Pathetic distance.

It’s disillusioned abandonment by a dysfunctional parent.

And it leaves wounds created through no fault of their own.

If you’re reading this and it

hits close, know you’re not

alone.

And if you’re the parent

who left, you’ve created a wound that will heal without any healing words from you. That wound will scar over and keep you forever out.
