The donations continue! I’ve donated Daddy’s Not Gone to funeral homes, doctors offices, social services, Hancock Memorial Hospital, children’s psychology, Ronald McDonald House, and a local reading program in my hometown.
I’ve donated Gage and the Invisible Illness and Chase and the Giant Granuloma to Riley Hospital, local doctors, several past specialists/physicians that my sons utilized, children’s pain organizations, and the Ronald McDonald’s House.
I’ve received multiple letters from those organizations I donated to. What’s so rewarding is that those top medical professionals and pastors discuss the fact that they will be recommending my books to more children who need it.
My children’s books are often requested by social workers, hospital employees, and pastors. I might not post about my donations still going throughout our United States, but they are always being mailed. Sometimes folks seem upset that I can only donate one or two, but once they get their hands on one or two, they see the value those books bring to children and realize that they want to donate via a purchase to support my endeavors.
