I’m a married mother of three grown children, grandmother of two grandchildren, and I am an entrepreneur of Mid Century, specifically rehabbing Heywood Wakefield pieces and Hollywood Regency lamps. I also still enjoy reading (and obviously writing), my pet dachshund mixes, and antiquing. I spend my free time with my children or traveling to some far-off vintage store.

I also still strongly support our men and women serving our country. They are true heroes.

Three years ago, I wrote my first book during COVID. A little over a year later I published it and began speaking at shelters and in local forums discussing my childhood abuses. I have been at times a very private person, but my childhood passion of writing has awakened a fire in me that has me championing others as I wish I had been championed as a child. I am here to give a voice to those who might feel abandoned in life. I am a survivor of child abuse and a former military widow.

I was featured on the front page of my hometown's newspaper, the Greenfield Daily Reporter in February of 2024.I discussed my love of donating copies of my children’s book, Daddy’s Not Gone to hospitals, Ronald McDonald Houses, funeral homes, doctors offices, children’s services all across the country. I also was asked about the loss of my Hancock county native husband, when I was just 21 years old when he died while serving in the United States Navy, just as I stepped aboard his ship to visit him. I’m a person who has suffered such random traumas, there was nothing for me to get my hands on to read to my daughter, nor utilize for myself after those painful moments, so, I created them. Daddy’s Not Gone is a tool for adults to use in helping a child still feel connected to a loved one who has passed away.

My memoir, See You Later reveals several lifelong secrets of mine, one being that my deceased husband spoke to me after he died. I want to give the afterdeath moment to those who need it most, because some require “proof” of heaven existing and I have that “proof”.

After being raised in an abusive home by narcissistic parents, I can empathize with others who run into toxic individuals in the course of life. I am here to set the record straight, you do not need to forgive a toxic individual after dealing with them, because you can heal in spite of refusing to forgive them. I’m not a physician or therapist, I am someone who has survived and has tools to share, because I’ve lived it.

I’m currently promoting my latest book about my youngest son's life altering disease, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. My son, Gage, was only 11 years old when his life changed in an instant. It’s not a book series that I take lightly, because it’s called the suicide disease for a reason. I hope to share some assistance, via my firsthand knowledge, with parents or adults who are at odds with CRPS, due it being horribly unknown. So many, myself included, have faced medical professionals who are not being fully educated about this devastating disease. I want to help and this is my opportunity to do so. I’ve created a children’s book and a parent companion book that both discuss CRPS and the journey it took myself and my son on, together.
